Submission

Cognitive Science Online welcomes papers from multiple disciplines and methodologies including but not limited to Anthropology, Communication, Cognitive Science, Computer Science, Linguistics, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology and Neuroscience. We also welcome contributions to the various columns and departments that are posted on the web site.

In the journal, we publish empirical and theoretical articles reporting original research as well as research reviews.

Reviews of other published material (such as books) may also be developed into papers especially if they thoroughly and critically analyze an issue of interest to our readers.

The journal accepts pre-submission inquiries. Please contact us if you have any questions or suggestions.

We are also looking for material to be included as part of our growing web site. In particular we need short book reviews, tutorials, and creative work such as fiction, poetry, humorous pieces and art. Please contact the editors if you would like to contribute material such as these, or other content that you think might be of interest to our readers.

Articles

Papers should be written to be accessible to an interdisciplinary readership and should be submitted electronically as either Microsoft Word (rtf or doc), or as ASCII text. Please provide a title, affiliation for all authors and an e-mail address for the corresponding author. Articles should also feature abstracts (about 100 words).

Submissions should have minimal formatting. Microsoft Word documents should be double spaced, with Times New Roman font size 12. Please mark section headings with Bold typeface and mark any emphasis you want to add in Italics. Do not use styles, templates and tabs. Figures, figure captions and tables should be at the end of the document, with their placing clearly indicated in the text (such as "Table 1 to be included here"). When in doubt, use APA style.

If you wish to submit other material such as short reviews, opinion pieces, fiction, art, creative work, use plain ASCII text when possible, or contact the editors .

Peer-review policy

All articles published in Cognitive Science Online are peer-reviewed before acceptance and publication. Other material submitted to the web site will be reviewed by the editors but may not be sent out for peer-review.
